This workshop will focus on discovering the sources for strong picture books, using character to develop plot and secrets of pacing your story.

BIOGRAPHY. Barbara Bottner is the author of the New York Times best-selling children’s book Miss Brooks Loves Books!, and Bootsie Barker Bites, in print since 1997. She has published more than 37 books, including picture books, I Can Reads, and middle grade and young adult novels, some of which she has illustrated. She’s also written for feature films and television as well as published short stories in national magazines. She has taught adults to write for children for thirty-five years, with a roster of household names to her credit.
